Svg Files for Baby Onesie Invitation for Cricut

Are yous ready for a few cute baby onesies?! Afterward a quick infant shower invite at work (okay it was my blood brother's work and I was somehow recruited to make a fun present) I decided a DIY babe onesie was the perfect gift that checked all the boxes: adorable (check!), unique (check!), and inexpensive (check!).
So I grabbed a few onesies and hitting the Cricut aisle… then I was ready to rock! I decided on a few designs from my fun SVG Baby Collection and got started. Ready to make a few onesies?

Supplies:
- Cricut Maker
- Cricut SVG Files (FREE at the bottom of this post!)
- Cricut Standard Grip Mat (that's the green one!)
- Fine Signal Blade
- Baby Onesies!
- Easy Press 2
- Metal Ocean Iron-On
- Holographic Iron-On in Cobalt

Step ane: Cut Your SVG Files
Gear up to leap correct into the project? Grab your cutting files from down below and upload the SVG's into Cricut Pattern Space (if you need aid cheque out this post on how to upload SVG files into Pattern Space).
Load your fe-on onto your mat shiny side down (top downwardly y'all… we want the articulate layer to be against the mat and the bodily iron-on to be on top (upside downward but on top)). Make sure y'all plough the "mirror" option on so that your iron-on cuts properly and you lot're adept to go!
I have "sportsflex atomic number 26-on" in my favorites material list so I click that for my materials, load my mat and get to cutting… easy peezy! (FYI I usually use a greenish standard grip mat but this cleaved in purple mat was sitting close by. And so catch a normal fine point blade since this iron-on is a fairly standard vinyl weight).
You could cutting allllllll the words for these two onesies out of the same vinyl simply I decided to add a lilliputian sparkle! So I cut out the "Hello" for the first onesie and "Spankin" for the second onesie from a fun coboalt holographic foil… and the remainder of the words out of a more than basic (but still fun!) metal ocean vinyl.

Step two: Weed Your Vinyl
Once all of your vinyl iron-on is cut it'southward time to weed all of the negative spaces… easy peezy! These petty words weed super quick and even the holographic vinyl is pretty piece of cake.
In one case all your words are weeded go ahead and place the vinyl pieces together so you tin can see how they fit. In order to easy press the entire vinyl quote in 1 piece I decided to cut the plastic backing around "spankin" down then that the "make" and "new" would fit.
Like shooting fish in a barrel peezy!
At present that our vinyl is prepped information technology's time to striking the last pace… easy printing time y'all!

Pace 3: Apply the Iron-On!
Ready for the fun part?! Fourth dimension to actually put our atomic number 26-on…. on the shirt! Start past setting your easy press to 305 and thirty seconds… which is the perfect settings for t-shirts and baby onesies!
Of grade, if yous have the smaller easy press that is preferable… the small-scale size is absolutely perfect for onesies. BUT it doesn't injure to use a bigger easy press… as you can encounter it simply irons the sides a bit which is perfectly fine.
Let's go started y'all… go ahead and lay out your onesie on elevation of your easy printing mat and pre-heat the little shirt. If you're not sure what that means it's simple… put your easy press onto the onesie without the atomic number 26-on and press down for a full bicycle (xxx seconds) that will warm up the onesie and then that information technology's ready to take the iron-on.
Once you take your design set upwards straight and pretty on your onesie hitting that easy press push and hold your easy press down with house pressure for the full xxx seconds. Then flip the onesie over and exercise the same thing from the dorsum (go out the protective covers on!). This style the decals are heated evenly from both sides… and you'll become bully results.

Ready for the fun part? Once yous've striking the iron-on from the front and the back hold your petty onesie up and let it cool downwards for about 20 seconds. I may exist psycho but I think I get meliorate results when I hold the shirt in front of me and let the air cool it down from both sides then when I leave it on the hot easy press mat to cool down.
One time the decal has cooled slightly you'll do a warm peel of the vinyl. Pull the protective roofing off past rolling it backwards away from the decal. The atomic number 26-on should stay firmly on the onesie!
If for some reason as you roll the protective cover away the iron-on decal is not bonded fully simply place the protective cover back downward and hit it with the easy press over again.
Just make sure to NEVER apply the piece of cake press directly on top of your atomic number 26-on. If y'all've already taken off the protective covering from 1 word and now the second word isn't bonded yous'll need to add together a protective covering (I like this protective iron-on sail since it covers everything) before hit it with the easy printing again… otherwise the piece of cake printing will MELT the exposed iron-on completely ruining everything and making you cry.
At least that's what happened when I did it.
Luckily I've never had that problem when using my like shooting fish in a barrel press on cotton… these settings seem to work every time! Making life much easier!
Ready for the grand reveal!?
